BLOCK FOUNDATION
Block foundation that’s strong enough to support the weight of a house or another structure. The foundation wall has three important sections — the blocks that lie beneath the soil, the blocks that rise above and the footing on which the entire wall rests.
RAISED FOUNDATION
Raised perimeter foundation that supports floors and load-bearing walls. This is built from a flat concrete slab, which provides both a base for the structure and serves as the ground floor of the house.
